Modern technology offers opportunities that never existed before — but with those opportunities come challenges and dangers.  Technology is meant to make things easier and faster, yet it is only beneficial when used properly. 

In today’s digital age, anyone can search and find any congregation anywhere in the world, tune in to any speaker at any time, and even worship with a different congregation every Sunday.  This opens many doors for education, but also for bad habits, confusion, and spiritual inconsistency.  Without being guided by sound and strong leadership, many risk being influenced by those whose backgrounds or teachings they do not truly know. 

We live in a world where technology has connected us globally — yet families have never been more disconnected.  Social media, devices, and the always-online culture have quietly found their way into the home, creating distance between parents and children.

Although the modern world moves fast — and misinformation travels faster than ever — the truth of God remains unchanged, unmoved, and eternally reliable. Christians, therefore, must be people of truth, careful with every word we type, post, share, or “like” (Ephesians 4:25).

¹⁴ These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly; ¹⁵ but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. - 1 Timothy 3 : 14-15

We are to be constantly reminded to go back to the basics & fundamental truth of God's word. The apostle Peter, knowing his death was near, emphasized this very point: "For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things... Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you" (2 Peter 1:12-13).

Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV): "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." 

The church of Christ identifies itself as the first-century church that Jesus established. Our doctrines are not based on human creeds or traditions, but on the timeless truths of the Lord's church as revealed in the New Testament.
